TerraCycle is much more than just another green company. Thanks to its business model of "upcycling" trash to create affordable, eco-friendly products, many consider the firm to be one of America's powerhouse innovators and a significant leader of an eco-revolution. Co-founded by Tom Szaky in 2001 in a Princeton University dorm room, the company got its start with a signature plant food made from worm waste and packaged in empty soft drink bottles. Today, Terra Cycle's products, including an expanded line of garden products, totes, backpacks, school supplies, cleaning products and office products made from recycled plastic bags, cookie wrappers, old juice boxes and more, are sold by numerous major retailers. Don't miss this much-lauded CEO's take on opportunity, product innovation and the new eco-capitalism.
