Marshall Kay is a management consultant known for his work evaluating the business case for item-level RFID in the Apparel and Footwear categories, plus his insights on the forces influencing the pace of retail adoption. He helps retailers and global brands prepare themselves to capitalize on RFID. Mr. Kay has completed advisory engagements for clients in North America, Europe and Asia, spanning the value chain from point of production to point of purchase.
In 2007 he launched RFID Sherpas LLC, a consulting practice devoted exclusively to retail applications of RFID. Previously, he led the North American RFID practice of retail consulting firm Kurt Salmon Associates. Mr. Kay has been interviewed by Fortune, BusinessWeek, STORES and Women's Wear Daily for his perspectives on RFID, and he is a repeat contributor to Apparel Magazine. He earned an MBA from the University of Michigan Business School.
