George M. Santacroce is CEO of Global Market Solutions, a consulting firm focused on Retail and International Brands Strategic Management which leverages his experience in various world markets to execute on a global scale in the sectors of Apparel, Accessories, Food & Beverage and Lifestyle Services across the premium to luxury segments.
George’s career spans over 35 years in the branded fashion apparel business. He has led and built several corporate and entrepreneurial branded lifestyle businesses and is a visionary in moving the retail sector beyond product and environment to defining that the major consumer motivation to buy revolves around the creation of a “Unique Customer Experience.”
Recently he was CEO of The Collective in India (a part of Madura Garments of the $30 Billion Aditya Birla Group), and created India’s first Fashion Specialty Store for men and women. With the strategy he developed for The Collective, it became the platform for many brands such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Armani, Hackett and Juicy Couture to launch their brands in India, recognized as one of the fastest growing world markets.
Prior to his work in India, George served in a number of senior management positions, including: President, Tommy Bahama Retail; President, Tommy Hilfiger Flagship and Specialty Retail; SVP / GMM Men’s Business, Bergdorf Goodman; CEO, Aquascutum of London for North America; and President, Yves St Laurent Men’s.
