OPENING KEYNOTE

Bryan Timm
Chief Operating Officer
Halston

Bryan Timm has more than 20 years of experience in the apparel industry, and is currently serving as Halston’s Chief Operating Officer. As COO, he is responsible for the strategic direction and leadership of supply chain, finance, human resources, legal, and information technology. Previously, Bryan served for three years as the Senior Vice President of Operations and Information Technology at BCBG MaxAzria Group, and six years at Warnaco’s Swimwear Division where he held positions including the Vice President of Manufacturing. At both companies he was responsible for ensuring that operational initiatives were aligned with corporate goals.

Bryan also spent more than six years at Guess? Inc., where he served as Vice President and Chief Information Officer. While at Guess?, he was fundamental in streamlining the IT infrastructure of the company.

Prior to Guess?, Bryan worked for more than five years with Kurt Salmon Associates, performing operations management consulting in the consumer products industry. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin and holds Bachelor of Science Degrees in Industrial Engineering and Economics.

Stacey Shulman

Stacey Shulman is the Chief Technology Officer for American Apparel responsible for technology, web and asset protection for the company globally. Ms. Shulman has over 2 decades of experience in retail focused technology and is a specialist in international growth and localization. The solutions architected by Shulman and her teams are currently in use in over 100,000 retail locations in more than 75 countries.

Maria T. Azucena

Maria Azucena is the Systems Process Analyst at Evy of California, an industry leading children’s apparel Company. Her responsibilities include systems implementation and user training for PLM, Supply chain management and ERP systems. She also assists in business process analysis, user training, and implementation of new company policies and procedures.

Maria joined Evy of California, Inc. in 2007 and has worked for more than 30 years in the apparel industry. Her extensive experience in apparel production management, professional IT services and information systems management are a vital asset to the company’s ongoing growth.

Maria enjoys working with the different teams at Evy and the many opportunities for personal and professional growth. She particularly enjoys trouble- shooting and resolving issues when they arise and the feeling of accomplishment from helping Evy meet or exceed the company’s goals.

Shane Cumming

Shane Cumming is Lectra’s Vice President of Fashion Sales for North America, based in New York City. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading strategic growth initiatives for Lectra’s complete spectrum of design, development and production solutions, tailored specifcally for the fashion industry. Shane has nearly 20 years experience, specializing in leading account management and sales teams to deliver enterprise solutions that resolve fashion industry business issues related to accelerating time-to-market, controlling costs, and improving quality and ft. Prior to joining Lectra, Shane enjoyed a 10-year tenure with Infor (formerly known as Lawson Software and Intentia), progressing through product and regional sales management positions and most recently serving as Vice President of Fashion Sales for North America. During this time, he gained an international perspective on the industry by working with brand-centric and manufacturing-centric organizations in apparel, footwear and accessories, both in Asia Pacifc and North America. Shane received an Honours Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queens University in Canada.

Alain Fanet is CEO of Tagsys and a well-recognized veteran of several fast-growth international high-tech companies. He provides TAGSYS with a unique blend of entrepreneurial and global business management experience. Mr. Fanet is the co-founder and CEO of Arteris, a global semi-conductor system-on-chip design firm, and a co-founder, president and COO of T.sqware Inc., a high-performance network processing firm. He has also served as VP and general manager with Globespan Virata and more recently as the president of the European Technology Tour Association, an industry body that helps emerging technology companies expand internationally.

Robert (Bob) McKee is the Industry Strategy Director for Infor Fashion. He has over 40 years' experience of working in and with apparel, footwear, home textiles and fashion accessories companies. He has hands on experience sourcing apparel products around the globe and was one of the first US apparel executives to start sourcing in China in the early 80s. His knowledge and skills span retail, sourcing, manufacturing, and product development within the fashion industry.

Jake Weatherly co-founded SheerID, an innovative technology company that makes it possible for retailers to create truly exclusive discounts and special offers for qualified members of special interest groups. SheerID’s technology forms a bridge between the point-of-sale and any database, allowing commercial enterprises to verify that customers qualify for special offers like student discounts or military discounts. For more than 15 years, Jake has focused his career on entrepreneurship and small business growth. Prior to his work at SheerID, he traveled the world to teach business and marketing planning to small businesses, consultants, large enterprises, universities, and government organizations. He co-authored the province of Alberta, Canada’s Tourism Marketing education program, developed Pearson Education’s Business Feasibility Analysis software and Integrated Marketing Communications program. While serving in an executive level position for a leading software manufacturer he worked with companies including Intel, Avaya, and SAP to achieve explosive growth in their reseller and partner sales channels.
