Charlotte Russe Brings Interactive Experiences to Online Shopping

Allurent has announced that specialty apparel and accessories retailer Charlotte Russe Holding Inc. has selected its Allurent on Demand (AoD) platform for interactive online merchandising.

AoD is a hosted, software-as-a-service (SaaS) offering designed to increase customer satisfaction and site conversion by quickly and cost-effectively deploying merchant-controlled widgets to retailers' existing web sites.

Charlotte Russe chose the solution to improve the merchandising team's ability to create differentiated, engaging online displays that provide its customers with interactivity and freshness, and thus strengthen customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Charlotte Russe plans to use AoD widgets throughout its site, and expects that the shopping experiences it brings to its online environment will engage shoppers and increase site conversion and overall customer visits.

The Allurent platform also provides an easy-to-use back-end merchandising tool to update products, images and marketing copy and deploy different interactive widgets to specific locations on the e-commerce site, which was a key selling point for the solution, says Charlotte Russe's director of e-commerce Craig Gillan.

"AoD empowers our merchandisers. With Allurent on Demand, we'll be able to add, update and change displays in a fraction of the time that it takes today, with little to no involvement from our IT group."
