Stella McCartney Falls Into the Gap

Stella McCartney is designing a new clothing collection for children and babies for Gap Inc., the retailer announced.

The new Stella McCartney collection is expected to launch late this year, and according to Gap, it will be sold in select GapKids and babyGap stores in the United States, Canada, the U.K., France, Ireland and Japan. It will also be sold online in the United States.

Stella McCartney, the daughter of Beatle Paul McCartney, launched her own brand in 2001 in a joint venture with Gucci Group. She is a vegetarian and does not use leather or fur in her designs.

Gap also announced recently that it will launch a new ad campaign for denim in August.
