Buhler Quality Yarns To Introduce Four New Products At Material World

Buhler Quality Yarns Corp.  recently unveiled four new products.

According to the company, its Supima and MicroModal Fashion Slubs - ring spun, extra long staple cotton yarns for the fashion T-shirt market - offer a unique feel and look, while the new Supima Royal combines the advantages of single and plied yarns in a single product for yarn evenness, strength, low hairiness, and a soft and gentle hand. Potential markets for this product include high-end apparel, luxury intimate apparel, bed linens and hosiery.

The company also introduced TransDry, targeted for the performance apparel market, which (through technology developed by Cotton Incorporated) enables 100 percent Supima cotton fabrics to transfer moisture away from the skin over a wider surface area for fast drying.

Also new is Supima Outlast Viscose, in which Buhler blends Outlast Viscose with Supima cotton to produce a comfortable soft fabric with thermal management. (The target market for Outlast is performance apparel, but Outlast has also been well received in the sleepwear market for menopausal women, Buhler reports.)

"Our new yarns demonstrate our drive to be innovative and to offer our customers the ability to differentiate themselves from their competitors," commented David Sasso, Buhler's vice president of sales.
