Fontana Sports Redesigns E-Commerce Site to Increase Traffic and Improve Navigation

Celerant Technology has announced the recent completion of a website redesign for its client, Fontana Sports. The goal of the redesign was to increase web performance and refresh the look and feel of the site, which was originally launched a few years ago.

Celerant employed advanced navigational tools on the homepage and product pages to facilitate ease of browsing and overall site usability, and also added enhanced zoom capabilities and a dropdown to the shopping cart to allow for easy viewing and updating of pending purchases.

"We worked with Celerant's web team to add features that make it easy to access our wide array of products and brands, so you can easily find what you are looking for. We look forward to enhancing our customers' shopping experience even further by adding new features such as a Daily Deal, enhanced customer reviews and product videos to give our customers a richer experience," said Ryan Koechel, CTO of Fontana Sports.

Celerant's complete multi-channel solution for retail includes point of sale, inventory management, warehousing, integrated e-commerce and mail order, and an array of e-commerce features to help extend products beyond the brick-and-mortar location. For Fontana Sports, these features include a scrolling display on the homepage to show new arrivals, top sellers and brands; a collapsible category view displaying relevant types within a selected category; product filtering by color, size, brand and price; and a tabbed section on the product detail page to display specific information relevant to the selected item.

Fontana Sports has two locations in Wisconsin, selling a variety of footwear, camping equipment, accessories, and outdoor apparel for men, women and children.
