ECCO Implements ARC Merchandise Analytics

Manthan Systems Inc., the leader and innovator in the retail business intelligence (BI) and analytics space announced that ECCO, a retailer and wholesaler of stylish comfort footwear for men, women and children, has gone live with Manthan’s flagship product, ARC Merchandise Analytics.

With ARC’s strong reporting and analytical capabilities coupled with complete support for handling all exchange currency types, ECCO acquires sophisticated business intelligence base and enhanced operational efficiency.

ARC Merchandise Analytics, deployed in 119 ECCO-owned-and-operated stores across Europe, integrates myriad systems in ECCO’s enterprise, centralizing data; introducing a structured, unified and consistent approach into ECCO’s decision making. ARC’s advanced analytical capabilities provide innovative support to ECCO’s efficiency and decision making backed by multi-currency reporting, inventory-specific reporting, unique merchandise hierarchy, merchandise calendar, financial calendar, financial budgets at store level, and ability to track goods in transit - between stores as well as between distribution centers and market.

“With ARC’s robust decision support and good analytics, we are convinced we will benefit as a business,” says Michel Krol, managing director of ECCO EMEA. “We have been looking to get a unified and central business intelligence enabling us to conduct needed and specific analysis across sales, merchandising and inventory, and we believe ARC will provide our business with the solution.”

Atul Jalan, managing director and CEO, Manthan Systems, says, “We are happy to contribute to ECCO's long term ambition of being a true vertically integrated business. ECCO is one of only a handful of retail majors in the world to own and manage every step of the production process. With such vast range of operations within its enterprise, ECCO depends on a strong technology backbone for decision making and operational efficiency. We are delighted, ECCO has chosen ARC to be a part of this solution.”

Manthan Systems’ ARC suite of products is a futuristic retail business intelligence solution that provides the complete range of role-based analytics and performance management capabilities across all business processes within a retail organization.
