Wal-Mart Signs Global License Agreement with Galleria

Galleria Retail Technology Solutions, provider of customer-centric merchandising solutions, has announced that Wal-Mart Stores Inc. has successfully completed user acceptance and extensive scalability testing of Galleria's configured store and merchandise planning software system.

Galleria reports that it offers solutions to seamlessly connect the assortment and space planning business processes while providing the scalability and automation to meet the needs of the largest, most sophisticated retailers in the world.

It uses a comprehensive method of analyzing performance data in conjunction with forecast data (vs. using only historic data), resulting in stock that reflects future demand on a store-by-store basis.
