Aria Systems Updates Products, Lands New Customer

Aria Systems, a provider of business software for the apparel industry, announces new customers and updated product information.

New customer
Carole Wren, a manufacturer of ladies sportswear, has deployed Aria Systems’ Aria4XP business software.

Carole Wren is primarily a private label supplier to some of the USA’s largest clothing retailers. Carole Wren also manufactures merchandise using its trademarked names, New York Clothing Company and The U.S. Clothing Company Incorporated in 1943 under the leadership of Gerson Wolf and Martin Leff, Carole Wren is now in its second and third generations of family ownership and guidance.

According to IT manager Tom Butler, “Aria4XP is a comprehensive and flexible business application solution that includes all the functionality and expandability to meet our needs. Aria’s staff of experienced programmers and support team allowed us to customize several processes, reports and made the conversion process from our previous computer system seamless. With 27 years of experience in the sewn products industry, this is a system I highly recommend.”

Redesigned SaaS platform
Earlier this year, Aria’s IT department saw the need to re-design our SaS platform taking advantage of the latest technologies in order to achieve higher up-time, better security, greater performance, scalability and disaster recovery.

Aria’s IT put together the requirements for the new platform and after an extensive search, a Network Integration firm with extensive experience in large scale deployments has been selected to design, test and deploy the new Aria application platform. The decision has also been made to switch from a private to a public cloud platform to take advantage of the many benefits offered by a public cloud.

Aria has completed testing its applications on the new platform and is in the process of selecting a cloud vendor that will host its production environment. The company expects the new platform to be live on the public cloud within three months.

New version of object linking program
Aria has now released a new version of the “Object Linking” program which allows the users to add Pictures and miscellaneous file attachments to any entity in the system such as Styles and Sales Orders.

The new program has been completely redesigned allowing the user to link an unlimited number of attachments per entity, it also supports over 50 common file formats.

The redesigned user interface has three views: Thumbnails, filmstrip and single file with Zoom functionality. In addition the user has the ability to enter unlimited free-form text per attachment.

Attachments can be printed individually or as part of other Aria reports.

The system also supports PDF file formats with built-in PDF viewer, which can be useful for attaching scanned documents practically giving the user basic Document Archiving capabilities, for instance scanned handwritten copies of sales orders can be attached to the actual Aria Sales Order allowing the user to retrieve it in the future upon request instead of searching for the physical copy.
